We had told the boys to get there earlier than usual today. To have everyone in the dressing room, focused and switched on for this crucial encounter. If only our opposition had done the same!After a prolonged warm up which our boys carried out like true professionals, we took to the pitch in driving rain having seen Belsize's yellow shirts emerge from the dressing rooms.
However, only four Belsize players showed and after waiting another 20 minutes their manager offered us the points. We decided to mix the teams up and played another 20 minute friendly (Jaden scoring against Recreativo!). Finally the rest of Belsize turned up and after a gentle dressing down from both managers we played another 25 minute friendly, Recreativo winning 1-0.

A big thanks to both players and parents who had got there early and stood waiting in the grey misty rain. Not an ideal way to win three points, but we'll have them all the same.
