Stoke Newington School FC 3-3 Bridge Academy
Another freezing start to the weekend, yet nothing that a bacon sandwich and cup of coffee couldn't cure, and so it was out onto Hackney Marshes to face Bridge Academy. Despite the early start, someone had forgotten to tell the Bridge kit man the kick off time. So it took another hour before both teams could take to the pitch. But for all the waiting around, those parents who braved the cold were treated to a fantastic game of football. Our goals came from Waiel (2) and Jaden. However, stand out man of the match today was George Gibbs who put in a fine display in midfield.
A game we should have won, but we were happy to have taken a point and everyone left having enjoyed another few hours out on the very beautiful surrounds of Hackney Marshes.
